Hengrove Park Leisure Centre (Bristol) Bristol City Council 30 April 2010

Equitix is 100% shareholder in the Bristol Leisure project which achieved financial close in April 2010. Contractor Kier were responsible for the building works whilst Parkwood Leisure for the operation and maintenance of the centre. The new leisure centre opened in February 2012 and is a centre of sporting excellence for the City and wider region and has made a significant contribution to the regeneration of South Bristol. The facilities became available in the run up to the 2012 Olympics and include a ten-lane 50-metre swimming pool, a health and fitness suite with 150 stations as well as a wide range of supporting leisure facilities.

Waterfront Leisure Centre (Crosby) Sefton Metropolitan Borough Council 7 December 2009

The project was acquired in December 2009. It opened to the public in February 2003, it was the first new leisure centre to be procured through PFI. It includes a gym, dance studio, 25m swimming pool, sauna and spa, sports hall and café bar. The capital value of the project is circa £6.5 million. The centre is operated by Parkwood Leisure and maintained by G&J Seddon.

Rivendell Leisure (Solihull) Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council 14 December 2009

The project was acquired in December 2009. The scheme involved the construction of a brand new leisure centre at Tudor Grange Park, replacing an old facility and also the refurbishment of North Solihull Sports Centre. It has a capital value of £14 million. Parkwood Leisure provides Soft and Hard FM services.

Penzance Leisure Centre Cornwall County Council 7 December 2009

The project was acquired in December 2009. The facility was opened in March 2004. It comprises a 25 metre competition standard swimming pool, learner pool, flume ride, sports hall, fitness gym, health suite, dance/aerobics studio, cafe bar and ancillary meeting rooms. The capital value of the project is £7 million. Parkwood Leisure is responsible for both operation of and maintenance of the centre.

Breckland Leisure Breckland District Council 13 December 2009

The project was acquired in December 2009. The facility was built by Kier Easter and involved the provision of a brand new leisure centre in the town of Dereham and a refurbished centre with additional facilities in Thetford. The total capital value is £13 million. Parkwood Leisure is responsible for both operation of and maintenance of the centre.

Boxwood Leisure London Borough of Bexley 31 December 2009

The project was acquired in December 2009. The scheme involved the refurbishment of two existing leisure centres at Erith and Crook Log (Bexleyheath) and the construction of a new leisure centre at Sidcup. This project is the largest leisure PPP deal to date in the UK with a capital value of £31 million. The centre was built by Gleeson Construction and operated by Parkwood Leisure.
