This project involves the acquisition of a 50% stake in Blue3 (London) which owns and operates nine Fire and Rescue stations in central London. The properties have been leased to the London Fire and Emergency Planning Authority under a 25 year PFI concession, with 24 years remaining on the lease at acquisition. The nine assets became operational between February 2015 and April 2016 and have been constructed on both new and existing sites, requiring the demolition of old buildings and the construction of new modern flexible facilities that are able to accommodate the required resources.

UK Fire Control Centres UK Government Department for Communities and Local Government (DCLG) 19 January 2016

This project consists of a portfolio of five specialist fire control centres dotted around the UK in Cambridge, Durham, Castle Donnington, Wakefield and Wolverhampton with a combined internal area of over 114,000 ft2. The tenant counterparty (DCLG) has an ongoing obligation to make the required rental payments until the expiry of each of the leases variously between 2028 and 2033. The investment reached financial close in January 2016.

University of Gloucestershire, Student Accommodation University of Gloucestershire 37 January 2016

The University of Gloucestershire student accommodation PPP is a 46.5 year concession for the construction, acquisition, maintenance and operation of 791 rooms for student occupation on one of the University’s Cheltenham campuses. The development involves the construction of 577 new rooms and the acquisition of 214 existing rooms. Construction is due to complete in September 2017. The investment provides a significant upgrade to the university’s accommodation for students, and represents a major improvement in the student experience offered.

Norfolk & Suffolk Police Investigation Centres Norfolk Police and Crime Commissioner & Suffolk Police and Crime Commissioner 59 November 2015

Acquired by Equitix in November 2015, this project entails six operational police investigation centres across Martlesham (Ipswich), Wymondham, Kings Lynn, Bury St Edmunds, Aylsham and Gt Yarmouth in Norfolk and Suffolk. The investigation centre facilities include detention cells, interview rooms, offices and administration facilities with a total area of 16,296m2. Practical completion was achieved in April 2012, and the concession runs until February 2041.

The Howden House PFI project consists of a 30-year concession to provide local government office accommodation facilities for Sheffield City Council, with Financial Close having been reached in 1999 and the project commencing operations in 2001.

This project was acquired as part of a portfolio of three UK PFI and core infrastructure assets that Equitix acquired 100% equity and subordinated debt interests in from London & Regional Properties. The assets that were acquired as part of the portfolio were Howden House, Sheffield City Council Offices PFI; The Copeland Centre, Copeland Borough Council Offices PFI; and Newbury College Pathfinder PFI.

The Copeland Centre situated in Whitehaven, Cumbria, comprises a 25-year concession to provide local government office accommodation facilities for Copeland Borough Council, with FC being reached in 2002 and operations commencing in 2004.

This project was acquired as part of a portfolio of three UK PFI and core infrastructure assets that Equitix acquired 100% equity and subordinated debt interests in from London & Regional Properties. The assets that were acquired as part of the portfolio were Howden House, Sheffield City Council Offices PFI; The Copeland Centre, Copeland Borough Council Offices PFI; and Newbury College Pathfinder PFI.

University of Salford University of Salford 80 September 2013

Equitix have entered a 45 year partnership with the University of Salford, an educational institution with over 117 years of global presence. The University is currently leading the market in digital media based degrees and presently accommodates the BBC’s broadcasting facilities on its campus. The project includes the building of 1400 bed-spaces on campus replacing existing facilities and has been designed to provide sustainable student living for students with a BREEAM Excellent rating. The rebuild includes a generous reception area, social spaces – including TV and games room, gym, group study lounges, demonstration and private dining kitchen, launderette and a cinema room.

GRAHAM Construction commenced works on site in November2013. Campus Living Villages, Equitix, Kier Project Investments and Graham Investment Projects will jointly invest and develop the property, alongside project finance from Standard Life Investments. Once complete Campus Living Villages will manage the accommodation and welcome its first residents for the academic year 2015/16.

Bournemouth Library Bournemouth Borough Council 13 August 2012

Equitix acquired 100% stake in Information Resources (Bournemouth) Ltd from Kier Project Investments Limited and Semperian Investment Partnership Limited in August 2012. The scheme reached financial close in August 2000 and achieved practical completion in March 2002.

The project includes the operation and management of assets within the central library and the provision of managed ICT services to the central library and 12 satellite libraries administered by Bournemouth Borough Council. The facilities management subcontractor is Kier Facilities Services, with ICT provided by Allied Worldwide. The Management Services are provided by Russell Management.

University of Essex Student Accommodation University of Essex 23 August 2012

In August 2012 the Uliving Consortium, made up of Bouygues Development, Equitix and housing provider Derwent Living, reached financial close on the £65 million student accommodation scheme for the University of Essex. Bouygues Development, Equitix and Derwent Living are the equity providers for the scheme and Aviva Commercial Finance is the senior lender. The scheme comprises the construction of 648 new student units - and the transfer of 766 existing units, for which Uliving will provide the University a capital receipt. Uliving will manage the entire 1,414 dwellings over a period of 50 years, from 2013 when the entire student complex opened. The new build part of the scheme - known as The Meadows - was designed by Lewis & Hickey architects and comprises 12-bed town houses accommodating 228 students and a further 420 en-suite study bedrooms in clusters, along with 'The Hub' an eye-catching pavilion that will house a student common room, a launderette and a 'grab-and-go' retail facility.

Bouygues UK is the design and build contractor and construction of The Meadows was completed in September 2013. The Meadows has been created so that small businesses and blue chip companies can benefit from close links with the academic community and research facilities. Derwent is the Facilities Management contractor.

West Yorkshire Police West Yorkshire Police Authority 110 May 2012

The Equitix and Interserve consortium reached Financial Close for West Yorkshire Police PFI in May 2012. Funding will be provided by Aviva Public Private Finance Limited. The facilities include; new divisional headquarters and custody facilities at Elland Road in Leeds (within the City and Holbeck Division) and Havertop Lane at Normanton (within the Wakefield Division). They will provide a modern, flexible working environment and importantly, support West Yorkshire Police's drive to modernise police services that are provided to local communities. Each of the buildings has a community facility designed within to enable to connect these buildings with the communities they serve. A new Specialist Operational training centre will also be built which will be located next to the Force's Operational Support Division at Carr Gate in Wakefield and will include state of the art firearms training ranges, public order and driver training accommodation. Interserve will construct as well as provide hard and soft FM services.
