The extensive skills-base of our members has been developed by participation in a large number of projects, and thus allows us to approach any situation with significant expertise.
Members of the Equitix team have been directly responsible for leading, bidding, winning and closing some of the most challenging infrastructure projects in the UK, and have raised over £3 billion of debt and equity since inception in 2007.

Geoff is a founding Director of Equitix and oversees the management of all aspects of the business. Geoff led a number of Equitix’s initial investments, achieving financial close on Greenwich and Essex BSF projects. He sits on the board of several of Equitix’s project companies including Birmingham Highways, Sheffield Highways and Greenwich BSF and sits on the Fund Investment Committees for each of the Equitix funds. Geoff has 37 years of development and construction industry experience. Prior to founding Equitix in 2007, he worked for Skanska where he was a Managing Director and responsible for leading the team that produced the winning proposal for the £1.4 billion Bart's and the Royal London Hospital PFI bid. Geoff also worked as a Divisional Director responsible for PFI projects at Bovis Lend Lease. He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Building (MCIOB).

Nick is a founding Director of Equitix and heads up all Primary Bidding and Primary Acquisition activities. Nick has led the teams that achieved financial close on the University of Essex, West Yorkshire Police PFI, Derbyshire and Cambridgeshire BSF and Sheffield Highways as well as the acquisition of North Lanarkshire Schools and Birmingham Highways. Prior to Equitix, Nick was Development Director at Skanska Infrastructure Development, where he was part of the bidding team that successfully won the £1.4 billion Bart’s and the Royal London Hospital PFI. In former years, Nick worked for Amey Ventures Ltd, Richard Ellis St. Quintin and DTZ Pieda Consulting. Nick has a BSc (Honours) Estate Management from Oxford Brookes University and is a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.

Hugh is a founding Director of Equitix and is responsible for fund raising at Equitix. He chairs the Investment Committee for all Equitix Funds and overseas the portfolio management functions. Hugh is also responsible for the majority of Equitix’s secondary acquisitions and has managed the bids for all of the Equitix LIFTCos. He has led the teams responsible for winning the bids for Greater Gabbard OFTO, Blackpool, Oldham and Rochdale Street Lighting, Leeds Mental Health Unit and Pembrokeshire Schools. Prior to joining Equitix, Hugh was Commercial Manager at John Laing where he managed Laing’s investments into Hospitals including Bart’s and the Royal London Hospital. He also worked for Bechtel Corporation both in London and USA. Hugh has a BSc (Honours) Environmental & Ecological Engineering from the University of Newcastle and is a Chartered Management Accountant (CIMA).

Keith is a Non-Executive Director of Equitix and is a Senior Partner at Cabot Square Capital LLP where he has been since 1998. Keith is a specialist in government and property backed businesses and he sits on the Investment Committee for EF I and EF II. He also chairs the boards of the Signature Senior Lifestyle, Betterstore Self Storage and Medicx GP surgeries businesses. Prior to joining Cabot, Keith spent 14 years at BP plc, where he held the position as Head of Strategy and Asset Management for the BP/Mobil Retail Europe JV for his later years with the company. Keith graduated with an MA (Joint Honours, Economics and Accounting) from Edinburgh University and is a fellow Chartered Management Accountant.

Fiona joined Equitix in May 2007 and has been involved in bidding for projects in the primary market within the healthcare and housing sector, predominantly at the forefront of the bid Team as the Bid Manager for the North Tyneside – Homes for Older People PFI Project. Fiona has experience in assembling consortia, selecting legal and financial advisers as well as architects. Previously Fiona worked in the NHS for 27 years and worked for 7 years exclusively on the development of Queens Hospital in Romford. Prior to this Fiona held a number of senior nursing and management roles within the Trust. Fiona is a Registered Nurse. She also has a Diploma in Management studies and is a qualified Prince Practitioner.

David joined Equitix in 2007 and plays a strategic role in the majority of Equitix’s primary bidding activity. He leads across a number of accommodation sectors in including education, health and social housing and has been instrumental in achieving financial close for West Yorkshire Police and the University of Essex, Equitix’s first investment into student accommodation. David led the Team on Equitix’s first successful primary bid where Equitix were appointed Preferred Bidder for the Derbyshire BSF schools and he remains a Director on the Derbyshire and Cambridgeshire LEPs. David has 20 years experience in the PPP market working for both the public and private sectors including Carillion, John Laing and the NHS.

Jon joined Equitix as Financial Controller in May 2007. He has worked on a number of transactions whilst at Equitix including secondary acquisitions of health, education and leisure projects and primary projects across all sectors in which Equitix is involved. In particular Jon leads the technical, financial and accounting team on behalf of the Equitix consortium bidding for renewable energy transmission projects (OFTOs). Jon sits on the Fund Investment Committees for both Equitix Fund I and Equitix Fund II. Prior to joining Equitix, Jon was a project accountant at John Laing plc. He is a member of the Association of Chartered Management Accountants and holds a BA (Honours) in Finance and Corporate Structuring from Manchester University.

Andy has over 16 years experience working on major infrastructure projects. Since joining Equitix in January 2008, Andy has worked as the LEP Development Manager on Cambridgeshire BSF, successfully developing the project from bidding to preferred bidder and achieving Financial Close within 6 months. He has led a number of bids in the primary PFI/PPP market including the Equitix consortium bidding for Brunswick Social Housing PFI. Andy is a Director on the board of a number of Equitix’s LIFT Cos and a board director of a LIFT JV investment company. Previously, Andy worked at Laing O’Rourke, where he was a Project Leader, responsible for the delivery of a number of projects and he has also worked for Norwest Holst. He has a BEng (Honours) degree in Civil Engineering and is a Chartered Engineer (MICE).

Andy has over 20 years experience in Project and Bid Management, with the last 12 years in the global PPP market specialising in the healthcare, education & local authority sectors. Andy joined Equitix in 2008 as Development Manager on the successful £80m Derbyshire BSF program, and went on to lead the bid team in winning and closing the £65m Cambridgeshire BSF project, including managing the development and construction through to service availability of the Thomas Clarkson Community College. As LEP General Manager, Andy continues to report to the LEP Board on the delivery & performance of these schools. More recently, Andy has been the Bid Director on the Equitix led consortium that has been appointed Preferred Bidder for Scotland’s £265m South West Hub initiative. Prior to joining Equitix, Andy worked as a Programme Manager for Skanska.

Cordelia has worked for Equitix since inception in February 2007. She has been involved in the bidding of 12 PFI projects across the education, blue light and predominantly housing sector including being part of the Equitix Team that successfully won the West Yorkshire Police PFI bid and the Scottish South West hub project which will see the delivery of a pipeline of cross-sector investments throughout the South West of Scotland. Cordelia is continues her lead role in the Brunswick Housing PFI bid. Previously, she worked as a consultant for Inner City Solutions, a leading regeneration consultancy firm in the North West. Cordelia graduated with a 1st Class BA (Honours) Degree in Social Policy from the University of Liverpool.

Since joining Equitix in 2007 Fabio has played a lead role in the bidding and closing of a number of primary and secondary market investments including the acquisition of Birmingham Highways and the financial closing of Sheffield Highways. He is a key player in Equitix’s bid for the OFTO programme and is responsible for the financial and commercial strategy of bids to financial close. Fabio also serves as a director on the board of six PFI project companies. Prior to Equitix, Fabio was a Principal Consultant in the Infrastructure Finance and PFI team of Scott Wilson advising funds, financial institutions, private sponsors and public authorities on major PFI and transport transactions in Europe, Middle East and America. He holds a Laurea (MSc) magna cum laude in Civil Engineering and a Postgraduate Diploma in Business and Finance.

Geoff became involved with Equitix in February 2007. Geoffrey has over 20 years experience in major projects; whilst working for Trafalgar House and Skanska, he structured and led the finance negotiations on several landmark transactions, including Tsing Ma Bridge in HK, Tagus River Crossing in Portugal, M1-A1, Dundee WtE plant and four major PFI hospitals. Geoffrey also has widely-based asset disposal, project and capital asset investment evaluation experience in industry and banking sectors. Geoff has a BA in Economics from Manchester University and a Corporate Finance Diploma from London Business School.

Sabrina joined Equitix in June 2008 and since then has worked on some of Equitix’s complex secondary acquisitions including Equitix Healthcare (Leeds), the LIFT portfolio acquired by Fund I as well as the acquisition of the much larger Primary Plus LIFT portfolio for Fund II. Sabrina also led the acquisition of Three Shires and has worked on evaluating and carrying out due diligence on a large number of projects including education, transport, waste and renewables. Sabrina also helped to develop the EF I fund model. Prior to joining Equitix, Sabrina was a Manager in the Public Private Advisory team at PricewaterhouseCoopers. Sabrina graduated with a 1st class BSc (Honours) degree in Mathematics and Statistical Science from University College London and she is also a qualified member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.

Antony joined Equitix in October 2008 and works in both the primary and secondary PFI market. Antony led the legal and commercial due diligence for the acquisition of Cleadon Park Health and Community Centre and West Yorkshire Police PFI. He also worked on Equitix’s acquisition of the Primary Plus LIFTCos as well as Oldham and Rochdale Street Lighting and he was part of the bid team that took Equitix to preferred bidder on the £65m Cambridgeshire BSF program in December 2009. Antony has a 2.1 degree in Politics, Philosophy and Economics (BA Honours) from University College, Oxford and a Graduate Diploma in Law from the College of Law. Rory joined Equitix as a Bid Director in 2009 and has over 16 years experience of working in the PPP/PFI sector across several sectors in both the primary and secondary markets. Rory has played an instrumental role in introducing Equitix into the Scottish market where he was part of the Teams that acquired both North Lanarkshire and Inverclyde Schools and was heavily involved in Equitix’s appointment as Preferred Bidder for the Scottish South West Hub programme. He represents Equitix on a number of LIFT Company Boards and is responsible for the management of the LIFT portfolio and the development of new projects through the LIFT structure. Prior to joining Equitix, Rory was a Director of Noble Fund Managers where he was closely involved in the establishment and sale of the Noble PFI fund in 2004. He has an Honours degree in History and an MBA, both from Edinburgh University.

Simon led the Equitix Team that won the £100m West Yorkshire Police contract and is part of the Equitix led consortium appointed Preferred Bidder for Scotland’s South West Hub initiative, the programme that will see the delivery of a pipeline of investments throughout the South West of Scotland. Prior to Equitix Simon worked for Mott MacDonald as a Senior Engineer in their bridges team. Simon has an MBA (Distinction, University of Warwick), 1st Class Masters in Civil Engineering and Management (University of Birmingham) and is a Chartered Civil Engineer.

John joined Equitix in July 2009 and was initially responsible for the financial management and reporting of EF I before taking a lead role in setting up Equitix Fund II and consequently taking responsibility for the financial management and reporting of EF II and the underlying portfolio companies. John now oversees the management of Fund II and takes an active role in a number of the project company boards. He also takes an active role in the Fund Investment Committee for EF II, secondary acquisitions and ongoing asset management. Previously, John worked at BDO in the audit department. He is a qualified chartered accountant (ACA - 2006) and holds a BA (Honours) in Theology and Religious Studies from Bristol University.

Richard is responsible for the operational delivery of the project companies owned by Equitix Fund I and the management of the related Managed Service Providers. Richard has an active role in the management of health and safety and is responsible for statutory compliance for the entire portfolio of assets in Fund I. Richard also led the Equitix Consortium in the management and delivery of the Derbyshire BSF programme through to service availability of Springwell and Bolsover and Heritage schools. Prior to joining Equitix he was the Project Director for the Sheffield BSF Program and has also worked for Balfour Beatty Capital. He holds a BSc (Honours) in Construction Management, is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Building and a Member of the British Institute of Facility Managers.

Ben joined Equitix in 2009 and has 12 years experience in the fields of social housing, urban regeneration and infrastructure development. At Equitix he has predominantly played lead roles in the development of the primary bids for North Tyneside Housing and Brunswick Social Housing projects. His skills and experience in consultancy and regeneration have been vital in facilitating the progression of Equitix’s presence in bidding in this sector. Prior to Equitix Ben was Project Leader for Auckland Regional Council’s (New Zealand) Urban Development Team working on infrastructure development. He has also worked as a Regeneration Manager at the Riverside Group, a top 3 Housing Association in the UK, and for Inner City Solutions. Ben holds an MA in Modern European History from the University of Bradford, and is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Housing.

Sion joined Equitix in July 2010 and manages the Equitix portfolio of Funds. He is responsible for maximising asset performance and optimising corporate cash flows and sits on a number of project company board meetings. Sion was instrumental in Equitix's acquisition of an additional 5% share of Ealing schools. He has over 15 years of experience in the financial services industry and prior to joining Equitix, was a partner at King Sturge where he established the Corporate Finance division and was responsible for asset and project company management, including assets partially owned by EF I. Sion has also worked for Arthur Andersen and Standard and Poor's in the Fund Research department. Sion has a BSc Honours in Chemistry from the University of Southampton. He holds an Investment Management Certificate and a Certificate in Securities from the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment.

Kirsty joined Equitix in June 2010 and is the Executive Assistant to the Directors. She is responsible for producing and managing marketing materials for Equitix Limited and the Equitix Funds as well as supporting communications with investors. Kirsty played a key role in the successful bid in which Equitix was selected to operate and manage Energy Saving Investments, the fund established to invest government funding into non-domestic energy efficiencies in the UK on behalf of UK Green Investments. She holds a BA (Honours) degree in Sociology and Social Policy from Durham University.

Prior to joining Equitix, David trained with Deloitte LLP in the Energy, Infrastructure, and Utilities Audit Department where he gained experience of a wide variety of companies. David is a qualified Chartered Accountant (Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales). He has a 1st class Honours Earth Sciences degree from Oxford University and a DPhil in climate change and ocean circulation in 2007.

Peter has over 15 years experience in bidding and operational management of PFI and PPP projects. Since joining Equitix in April 2011, Peter has played an integral role in acquiring and managing Equitix Fund II LIFT assets and achieving financial close on Portway Lifestyle Centre. Peter is a Director on the Board of a number of Equitix’s LIFTCos and their subsidiary companies, where Equitix have a leading presence in the UK. Prior to joining Equitix in April 2011, Peter was an SPV Manager with HCP Social Infrastructure. He worked with Skanska as bid Director for Facilities Management services where he successfully closed a number of PFI Hospital deals. Peter has a broad understanding of all managerial, construction and engineering disciplines applied to various project scopes ranging from Facilities Management, Design, Construction and Lifecycle.

Jonathan joined Equitix as a graduate in February 2011. He is involved in both primary & secondary market projects, as well as working with the Asset Management team to deliver optimisations for assets owned by Equitix Fund I. He was involved with the secondary acquisition of Project Dragon and worked with the bidding team to produce the business plan for the successful bid that won the right to operate and manage the UKGI Non-Domestic Energy Efficiency Fund. Before starting at Equitix, Jonathan worked in a number of roles in the financial services industry, including as an Analyst producing in-house research for a boutique M&A firm. He holds a 2:1 degree in Government and History (BSc Hons) from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE).

Mark joined Equitix in November 2011 with particular responsibility for education and other accommodation projects and has since led the Equitix Team on the University of Essex student accommodation project, Equitix’s first project in this sector. Mark has been involved in PPP for over 12 years and was previously in the commercial team at Partnerships for Schools, part of the Department for Education, the U.K. Government agency responsible for all capital procurement on the school estate in England. In previous years, Mark was a Director in the Infrastructure Finance Group, Global Banking & Markets at RBS in London. He has 10 years investment banking experience and held directorships for a number of the RBS’s UK PFI and property investments. Mark has a BSc (Hons) in Applied Economics from Plymouth University and a Postgraduate Certificate in Education.

Rebecca joined Equitix in November 2011 as Development Director in the OFTO and Transmission sector. She is leading the team bringing Greater Gabbard OFTO to financial close. Rebecca joined from Ernst and Young LLP where she had most recently been seconded to Ofgem as Interim Head of OFTO Enduring Regime Design. Prior to that, she advised Ofgem on the competitive tender of the first round of offshore transmission assets. In addition to her OFTO experience, Rebecca has over 10 years' experience advising on PFI/infrastructure transactions across energy, social infrastructure and transport. Rebecca is a member of the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy and holds a degree in Politics and Government from the University of Kent at Canterbury.

Ben is Investment Director for Energy Saving Investments, the Equitix managed Fund responsible for seeking suitable non domestic opportunities to invest in the energy efficiency sector on behalf of UK Green Investments. Ben was part of the Team that was appointed Preferred Bidder by UKGI in July 2012 to source, invest and manage these investments. He joined Equitix in March 2012 within 4 months of joining Equitix, Ben led the acquisition of Project TSY, in particular the financial and commercial diligence through to Financial Close. Prior to joining Equitix, Ben was an Investment Director at Building Schools for the Future Investments (BSFI) where he was responsible for a portfolio of BSFI’s investments. He has also worked for Royal Bank of Canada and Carillion. He holds an MA in Natural Sciences from Cambridge.

Egan joined Equitix in January 2012 to develop the company’s involvement in the waste and renewable sectors. Egan’s extensive experience carrying out technical and commercial diligence is a great advantage to the team whilst continuing to source suitable investments on behalf of the Equitix Funds. Prior to joining Equitix, Egan helped develop and implement Aleltho Energy’s business strategy and before then, he was a Director at Juniper Consultancy. Egan is a Chartered Engineer with a PhD in Chemical Engineering from the University of Sheffield and an MSc in Chemical Engineering with Material Science and a BEng Honours in Chemical Engineering both from the University of Leeds. He holds various other memberships including: Membership of the ICHEME and the Energy, Environment and Sustainability Group (EESG) of the IMECHE.

Gavin joined Equitix in September 2012 with a background in corporate banking. He has over 25 years of experience in the financial service industry and has over 14 years experience in the PPP/PFI sector. Gavin is responsible for the management of investments made by Equitix Fund III. Prior to joining Equitix, Gavin worked for Nationwide Commercial within the Project Finance Department leading teams involved in lending to PFI clients. He had responsibility for developing Nationwide’s position in the PFI market and worked on a number of bids alongside Equitix that are now under ownership by Equitix Fund I or Equitix Fund II including Cambridgeshire and Derbyshire BSF and Birmingham Highways. Gavin has also worked for Alliance & Leicester and Sumitomo Bank (now SMBC). He is an Associate of the Institute of Bankers in Scotland, ACIBS.

Andrew joined Equitix in October 2012 from Davis Langdon where he had been since 2002 and most recently was the Senior Development Manager on the Hub South East Territory. He was responsible for the delivery of the Project Development Partnering Services and management and delivery of hub South East's projects; achieving financial close on all projects. Andrew was Davis Langdon's Bid Manager for the Equitix consortium bidding for the South West Hub programme, Bid Manager on SPACE's bid for Hub North and Bid Director on SPACE's bid for Hub West. Adam joined Equitix in October 2012 as a Senior Investment Manager for Energy Saving Investments, the fund established to manage investments on behalf of UK Green Investments into the non domestic energy efficiency sector. Adam joined from KPMG where he worked as a Corporate Finance Manager with a particular focus on the energy and renewables industry. His experience includes successfully raising project finance debt for a UK £80m onshore wind farm; advising a pension fund looking to acquire a £600m pan European portfolio of solar PV projects; and, advising a £125m biomass CHP project. Prior to joining KPMG Adam worked for Advanced Power and Centrica Adam has a BA in Spanish & European Studies and a post grad diploma in International Political Economy both from the University of Manchester. He is CIMA qualified up to certificate level.

Jennifer joined Equitix in November 2012 and is responsible for the financial management and reporting of EFII and the underlying portfolio. Prior to Equitix, Jennifer worked at KPMG where she was a Senior Audit Associate and largely worked auditing PFI and infrastructure companies since 2009. Her clients included an Investment management arm of a listed real estate services client where she was in charge of coordinating the group reporting as well as statutory audit work, which included a detailed review of pension accounting assumptions and an assessment of fund performance in relation to macro-economic conditions. Jennifer has a BA (Honours) degree in Classics from the University of Bristol and is a qualified ACA chartered accountant.

Michael joined Equitix in March 2013 and is responsible for the delivery of over £500 million of public sector infrastructure projects for South West Scotland’s 15 Hub participants throughout Ayrshire, Dumfries & Galloway and Lanarkshire. He joined from Hochtief PPP Solutions Ltd where he had been since 2005. Michael was responsible for setting up their business in Scotland and was Executive Director of Operations with specific responsibility for asset management across their portfolio of projects within the UK and Ireland. Prior to this Michael worked with Bam, working for their PPP investment division. Michael’s PPP experience spans over 11 years where he has attained a successful track record for the delivery of approximately £900 million of infrastructure assets. He is a qualified Quantity Surveyor.

Elliott joined Equitix in March 2013 as a junior accountant in the finance department and is responsible for administering the accounts across the Equitix Funds. He joined from MB Capital wealth advisors where he was responsible for the management of a portfolio of clients and their personal investments, as well as developing new business relationships. Elliott holds a 2:1 BA degree in Business Management from the University of Reading and is studying towards his CIMA qualifications.
